Independent testing was recently completed on this new series. The new CF-32 line achieved an A.F.U.E. rating of up to 88%. The CF-32 Series operates using natural gas or propane and has an adjustable BTU range of 15,500 to 32,000. The 60' x 200' addition will house equipment used in the production of wood furnaces and gas fireplaces. Employment at Central Boiler/Central Fireplace has increased by nearly 50% in the past six months. Production and employment growth is expected to continue with the current expansion of the production area. This growing northern Minnesota company has been manufacturing outdoor wood furnaces since 1984. The Central Fireplace division, featuring four different gas fireplace models, has been experiencing rapid growth in the past two years, according to Dennis Brazier, CEO. "The gas fireplace line is growing primarily because people are looking for the ambience of a hearth in their home," Brazier said. "But they want the convenience of a gas fireplace." The results verify that high efficiency can be achieved in an attractive LP or natural gas fireplace through the use of direct positive vent design technology. The CF-42 and CF-3036 fireplaces are manufactured with power venting as standard equipment. This allows the fireplace to be vented in any direction, including down through the floor and out a wall, for installation virtually anywhere. The power vent enables combustion air to be pulled from outside, into the firebox, and then through a high efficiency heat exchanger system. The exhaust is then forced out, eliminating concerns of carbon monoxide gases. The CF-3036 and CF-42 feature a HeatPort™ that enables owners to divert 60% of the heat to another room or basement.
